Mineral
For limestone and cement based substrates
Deep penetration
This mineral-based substrate stabiliser reinforces the outer layers of weak, crumbling and porous limestone or limestone-cement base coat layers.
When the substrate has been reinforced with Fixit 493, further coats of mineral-based plaster can be applied. Salt-affected and water-saturated substrates must be checked for suitabilty in advance of application.
The Fixit renovation technique, including the use of a 30mm thick plaster layer of Fixit 222 Insulating Plaster, created a novel room climate based on its water-vapour permeability. The combined layers of the plaster system absorb excess humidity from the air and return it in a controlled way to the room, preventing the development of mildew

The façade of this multi-family residential building was renovated using Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Thermally Insulating Plaster, among other materials. A 4 cm layer was applied over 1,200 m².
Architecturally and aesthetically valuable exposed concrete walls were energy efficiently renovated by applying layer of Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Insulating Plaster to the indoor faces. The appearance was maintained unchanged. The excellent thermal insulation meant that a minimal application of just 5 cm of plaster was adequate to achieve the required performance. Rubble masonry building
A multiple-family dwelling located in the centre of Rümland. Part of the façade was insulated with Flumroc Compact Pro mineral-wool panels, the rest (for reasons of space) with Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Insulating Plaster. The old base and finish layers were removed in advance of the application of the Aerogel insulating plaster. This allowed the original window and door frames to be used as before.
To achieve this thermal optimization, we first of all removed the plaster on the indoor walls then applied a 30mm layer of Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Insulating Plaster.
Improving the energy efficiency of the entire building. Renewal of approx. 100 m2 of indoor plasterwork over 3 floors, layer thickness 3-4 cm of Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Insulating Plaster.
Energy-efficient renovation of 48 apartments in 8 residential buildings. Some 2'800 m² of Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Thermally Insulating Plaster and 600 m² AeroCalce non-woven fabric matting were applied, the former directly onto the existing plaster substrate. This technique was economic despite the higher material outlay because it allowed the entire renovation to be completed in one step rather than two, as initially envisaged. On completion the façades appear practically unchanged, whilst the energy consumption has been halved.
To accomplish this indoor thermal improvement work we first removed the internal plasterwork and then subsequently applied a 30 mm thick layer of Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Thermally Insulating Plaster.
The ABZ cooperative apartment buildings on Hochstrasse in Zurich Fluntern, built by Otto Streicher in 1926, were last extensively renovated in the mid-1970s. The aim was to preserve the external appearance and the internal spatial structure in their essence. Therefore, it was decided to apply an aerogel high-performance insulation plaster Fixit 222 to the façades, while retaining the existing jambs. Foto: Markus Frietsch
The 4-unit multiple-family dwelling was completely renovated, both internally and externally. The energy-efficient façade restoration was carried out using a 4 - 5 cm thick layer of Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Thermally Insulating Plaster. The special character of the façade, with its striking window surrounds, has been preserved.
Conversion of a correctional facility into hotel/restaurant premises. The main planning effort was focused on the protected façade of the building, from which modern constructional elements (bay windows) extended. Using our Aerogel High Performance Thermally Insulating Plaster, the 350 m² west façade was insulated in accordance with the requirements of the preservation authorities.
A former farmhouse in the village of Egg. The façade of the building, containing both residential and business premises was renovated. The old render was completely removed, following which a 4 cm layer of Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Thermally Insulating Plaster was applied.
Base and finish coats removed. Rough cast mortar Fixit 211, Fixit 222 30 mm thick, mineral undercoat stabilizer Fixit 493, mesh embedding with Fixit 223. Undercoat with Fixit 471 Plaster base Premium then Fixit 732 APS Silicate plaster first 1.5mm then 0.5mm slurry. Fixit 784 silicate paint.
Interior renovation: The entire property is a listed building. For this reason, a gentle interior renovation was considered. For this reason, the existing base and finish plaster was removed from the interior exterior walls and replaced with Aerogel high-performance insulation plaster Fixit 222. Photo: BEP, 8037 Zurich
The multiple-family dwelling lies on the uphill side of the platform of Rüschlikon railway station. Not too long ago the building had been threatened with demolition, but after its purchase by the Rüschlikon Housing Foundation it was decided that the premises would be renovated. Energy efficient renovation was carried out using Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Insulating Plaster. The original appearance of the building was maintained unchanged.
This object was insulated on the inside with 100 mm Fixit 222 high-performance thermal insulation plaster. In the basement, the exterior walls were renovated on the inside with Fixit 210 Hydroment. The facade was fully embedded with Fixit 462 and plastered with Fixit203 plaster with hydraulic lime.
In this renovation, prior to applying the Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Insulating Plaster we filled the joints and applied a roughcast mortar containing an adhesive agent.
Façade refurbishment: For the purpose of energy-efficiency refurbishment, the old base plaster and top plaster were stripped off and an airgel high-performance insulating plaster Fixit 222 was applied. A silicate-silicone plaster Fixit 740 Si with a grain thickness of 2.0 mm was used as the finishing plaster.
The venerable vintner's house was restored in a gentle fashion. The façade and roof structure were renovated in accordance with current techniques.
The old base and finish layers were chiseled off and then replaced with Fixit 211, Fixit 222 Aerogel High Performance Insulating Plaster, Fixit 497, Fixit 223, Fixit 475, Fixit 777 and a paint coat. Wall base areas sealed with Fixit 373 Multiflex.
All of the old plaster was stripped down to the brick and rebuilt with the airgel insulation system. The facade renovation was carried out with 4 cm Fixit 222 Airgel high-performance insulation plaster system and the mineral finishing plaster Fixit 777 2.0mm pos., was painted twice with the colored mineral paint Fixit 785 evo to the color Fixit 59018.
